The head office building was erected in 1911. During the Second World War, the building was partly destroyed by bombing and was reconstructed in the following years. At the end of the 1970s extensive renovations took place and the entire interior was modernised. Two lift shafts were integrated into the existing fabric of the building and some of the storeys were expanded.
Paint shop
At a height of 20.5 metres, this hall is one of the tallest buildings at the shipyard. Approximately 675m2 in size, this is where we carry out surface preparation and coating work with modern, environmentally friendly technology.
Service centre
The service centre contains a three-storey office space with a total area of around 1,800 m2, a large storage space for parts and a two-storey workshop, in which even large engines can be completely overhauled. The engine service has become specialised primarily in the sale of parts and servicing ship engines from such brands as SKL, Pielstick, DMR, Sulzer and STX Engine.
Repair centre
All of our specialist areas are concentrated behind the floating docks 10 and 11 – from the project and production management to shipbuilding and engineering processes, including the dock operations. Short distances ensure rapid and effective project execution.
Dock water processing plant
Water is an important central resource, which has to be used and looked after with care. Our dock water processing plant ensures that we treat water responsibly. The waste water resulting from the dock operations is collected in our own dock water processing plant and treated before it flows back into the River Elbe.
